Huge Cycling
5 March 2009
Huge Telecom will once again be participating in this year’s Children in the Wilderness charity fundraiser, the “Tour de Tuli”. This gruelling four day mountain bike ride is held annually in aid of Children in the Wilderness, a rural children’s environmental and life skills programme for vulnerable children.
Last year’s “Tour de Kruger” fundraiser was a great success and Huge Telecom will again take 15 of its fittest riders to participate in this worthwhile charity event in August later this year.
Children in the Wilderness is one of the programmes aimed at bridging that divide that exists between rural communities and wildlife. Through these programmes, they teach children the importance of conservation and strive to instil a passion for the environment so that they become the custodians of these areas in the future, as well as gaining valuable life skills which they would otherwise not have had access to.
